A very well structured argument by Savory that in order to prevent grassland ecosystem the only option the scientist or the governments or policy makers have "more livestock in grass land area". So its a natural phenomena which then prevent grassland to become a dessert. Must watch and learn this wonderful research.
About Raja Taimur Hassan
Raja Taimur Hassan is a Public Policy Analyst and earns his Master degree in Government & Public Policy from National Defence University, Islamabad in 2011.
During one and half year at SDPI he is working as a consultant & correspondent with Sustainable Development TV (SDTV), a sister organization of Sustainable Development Policy Institute, where he is responsible for producing quality content, interviewing experts, writing scripts in order to produce final product i.e. a news package. He has done many reports on social, economic, developmental and political issues of Pakistan at SDTV. His reports can be found at www.sdpi.tv .
Previously he had been engaged with Akhtar Hameed Khan Resource Center (AHKRC) as a Research Associate where he was responsible for writing concept notes, content writing, project proposals, research writing and produce case studies. He also worked with LMK Resources Islamabad as a Technical Assistant on PTCL GIS project, where he worked in GIS environment (geo-referencing & digitization of spatial data).
More over on research, he evaluated a project, title “National Wheat Flour Fortification Program”, with the “Ministry of Health - Nutrition Wing” and produced a report. Prepare a case study title “Provision of Safe Water” a study on Mohallah Abbasiabad of Union Council # 17 Rawalpindi with AHKRC. Currently he is working on a research paper on the topic “Analyzing the drivers of Deforestation: its impact on Environment & Economy” (In progress).
